| Bernie Zelazny is a native Texan, born in Dallas, he moved to Austin as a young adult. He began visiting the Big Bend Country in the early 1970s. He immediately fell in love with the area. After more than 10 years of dreaming of it, and working towards it, Bernie finally moved to the Alpine area in 1994. During the many visits to the area prior to moving to the Big Bend Country, he hiked more than 300 miles in Big Bend National Park, going to many areas few visitors have experienced. However, it wasn't until recently that he began to photograph the area. Now he's revisiting many of the areas that he previously explored, and also seeking out new areas, photographing them along the way. Over the coming months and years Bernie hopes to share many of these areas with you through his photos. |
